Ever since getting aquatinted with the Bullet Journal phenomenon some years ago, I’ve been obsessed. I started using one a couple of years ago in which I put down my agenda, monthly views, tbr’s, address lists, and much more. But at one point or another I stopped using it because it became too energy draining for me to create all of it myself, you know? So then I bought a regular agenda for myself to write down my appointments in and things like that and the bujo was being put away.
So I stayed off using a Bujo for a while, until earlier this year when I decided to create a bookish Bujo, in which only book-related items would be put down. With a lot of energy and enthusiasm I started creating tbd-bookshelves, quote pages and things like that. I was really happy with how it all turned out to be and determined to make it a succes this time around.
I thought it would be fun to show you guys some of the pages I’ve created and used so far.
— TBR —
I always like to draw bookcases and books to color in when I put down my TBR on paper. It’s a lot of work, and not always practical when you get rid of books in between or forget to add your latest bought books to it, but it just looks so wonderful, don’t you think? I feel so happy looking at it haha, even though it’s terrifying to see how many books I still need to read – because no, this isn’t all that’s on my TBR, lol.
I also put in a color code rating system as you can see on the bottom, on the right side. When I finish reading a book I color the book matching to the rating system. You can adjust this however you like. I put in half star ratings as well because I like using those as well.
— KINDLE TBR —
Since I also receive a lot of e-arcs on my kindle, as well as buy some books from Amazon once in a while, I thought it would be more practical to create a separate Kindle TBR. This is my set-up at the moment, but it could change in the future since there don’t fit a lot of books on a page this way and I have a lot of books on my Kindle haha. So I haven’t been able to put all of the Kindle books in the bujo yet.
I also use the same coloring rating system on these pages as well.
— MONTHLY READ LIST —
I wanted to add a monthly reading list to the Bujo as well, in which I write down which books I’ve read that month and add the rating to it as well. The first one I added to the Bujo was this September 2018 reads list, but I ended up not liking this set-up, at all… I’m still in search of a new set-up, so if you have any ideas, let me know! I’d preferably want something that also has a bit of drawings in it, like a banner or something like that. O, and it definitely need room for more books on it as well. With this one, I started out using too much space so later on, I wasn’t able to fit all the books I’ve read on it anymore, lol – not all books I’ve read that month were added to it on this pic. So I need a setup in which there’s more space for books or I should use double-pages, which is something I’m considering as well. Love to hear from you if you have any ideas!
— QUOTES PAGE —
I love beautiful quotes so I decided to put 1 quote per book I’ve read in a month to the bujo as well so I can look back to it when flipping through my bujo later on. The set-up of the quotes page may change as well someday. For now, I like this one though.
— OTHER —
I also added some bookish pages to my Old bujo – the one I used for blog and personal stuff that I told you about earlier – and I thought it would be fun to show you guys those as well! Maybe I’ll re-use some of those in the future too.
So that’s it so far. There aren’t many diverse pages yet but I really want to add more diversity to it in the future. And if any of you have a bookish bujo article on your blog, please let me know as well and I’ll come check it out. I’m always looking for new inspiration – or maybe if you have a Pinterest account, let me know too? Love to hear from you!
Do you only keep track of your tbr on a digital platform or do you write it all down or draw or…?
With Love,
Melissa ♥
I’m so bad at keeping track of my reading in a bujo. I really like working on it but somehow I just don’t find the time to do it.

I haven’t filled in my bujo in months now yikes hahaha that’s why I bought the little inklings one as well. I love the setup and designs of it and that I won’t have to draw myself anymore because it’s just too time consuming for me atm.

Oh wow, you’re really creative. I wish my drawing/handwriting looked like this. However, I did make an entertainment BUJO this year. I need to do better with it next year, but it’s still fun. I keep track of books I need to read/review, books read, movies I saw, monthly playlists, etc. I actually co-host a monthly link-up called Keep It Together every Third Thursday of the Month (so this Thursday) and you can link up anything related to planning, scrapbooks, etc. if you want to share this!

Keeping track of all the books I read or will be reading is almost an impossibility (michele writing this)–I kind of grab books that catch my eye and then keep them on my email until I read and review them. Lately most of the books I read are on Kindle.

Ok, so I was unfamiliar with the term “bujo”, so I’ve learned something new. I used to do this all the time as a kid. But I’ve now gone digital.
Your bujo is so artistic! I would be inspired to revisit often my tasks if they were presented so beautifully.

I always loved writing things or keep tracking all the things that happened to me everyday but never tried to draw anything or do an extra effort like this to make it more beautiful.
